Top Reasons You Need A Mentor For Real Estate
Aug 3, 2017
A lot of people ask me, “do I really need a real estate mentor/coach?" and "do you offer a mentorship courses?"
Well, let me tell you this now: yes, I have started offering a digital mentorship program. You can visit my website to learn more about my mentoring program, called the First 31.
With that said, I want to share my experiences working with a mentor that’ll help you understand why you should hire a real estate mentor, especially if you’re just starting out in the real estate industry. I’ll also share what you should look for when hiring a mentor.
My experiences working with a mentor:
I decided that I needed a guide when I realized that I wasn’t progressing. I was new in the real estate business, and although I felt I was working hard, yet I still couldn’t make any deals happen.
I felt like I was missing something.
That’s when it hit me. I realized that I needed a mentor – someone who could guide me.
I knew I wanted someone to mentor me when I entered into the real estate business, but a lot of real estate agents were not available.
I quickly found out that it’s tough to get someone to mentor you, guide you through all the real estate process, and help you become a great real estate agent.
You see, in the real estate industry, there are many things that you just don’t know.
That's when doubts creep in. You start to question yourself, “How am I going to make things happen?” or “How am I going to find the right tools and techniques that’ll help me make things happen?”
I didn’t have answers to those questions either when I was a newbie.
That’s when I started to seek out a mentor to help me get back on track.
My mentorship experience was phenomenal.
But let me tell you something: I didn’t start out with someone who was in the real estate business. I started my mentorship journey with a sales coach - someone who can help me understand sales, generate leads, and build my business quickly and easily.
And, after that, then I moved into the real estate realm.
The journey has been tremendous. I got an immediate BOOST in my business. It helped me mentally and physically. I have done things that I would never have done otherwise, just by taking advice from someone who has been down the same road that I was on.
Having a mentor is like getting personal attention from someone who knows what he/she is doing, which is so valuable that you do not want to pass for anything else in the world.
What should you look for in a mentor?
Let me tell you something: If someone is going to invest their time and energy mentoring you, most likely, he or she is going to charge you for the services.
And, if you’re ‘new,’ most likely you don’t have a LOT of money.
Even if you have some money, you have to set it aside for marketing activities, such as creating banners, signages, and paying for advertising.
I get it. You’re on a budget.
When you’re thinking about hiring a real estate mentor and when you see the price they quote for their services, you probably go, “Well, I cannot afford that amount of money, right now!”
But, let me tell you ONE thing: getting a mentor for your real estate business is an investment. So, don’t look it as blowing money.
Personally speaking, I have spent thousands of dollars on mentorship programs.
When I started out, I didn’t know what I was looking for. So I ended up only looking for the flashy programs with the flashy signs.
Later, I realized that I didn’t need someone who was super successful in the real estate business – someone who made millions of millions of dollars. I just needed someone who was a few steps ahead of where I wanted to be.
In other words, I needed someone who could relate to what I was going through, someone who could guide me through all the steps that they took to get where they are now.
So, you see, it’s not only about going after super busy, badass mentor to get the results.
They’re super busy and will charge you a lot of money.
You just need to find someone who can guide you to those NEXT few crucial steps.
As you start making money, you could seek those other bigger badass mentors to take you to even HIGHER levels.
This way of thinking has helped me get most of my investment and also saved me a LOT of money.
And these days, I get a lot of messages from my readers asking me, “Do I offer real estate tips, tricks, and guidance in real estate? Do I offer real estate mentorship program?”
Yes. I have created a digital real estate program called First 31.
This program is super-affordable, highly useful, and relatable to YOU, no matter where you are in your real estate career.
This program includes resources for the beginners. Whether you’re getting a license, or just got your license (6 months or newer), there are valuable resources that can help you get started in the real estate world on the right track.

Plus, there are resources for those looking to set up a team. I have gathered all the resources, tips, and insider tactics to help you set up a team for your real estate business.
